Gato Clavo Hide
Photograph the iberian lynx at a short distance
Enjoy the stealth and the beauty of one of the cats most threatened in the world, in a scenario designed to make the best photographs possible.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE EXPERIENCE?
We invite you to enjoy a day of photography of the iberian lynx in its natural habitat, using hides strategically located in the Sierra de Andújar
Known to the Iberian Lynx
The Sierra de Andújar is the refuge of the iberian lynx, a species endemic to the iberian peninsula, which was on the verge of extinction. Thanks to conservation efforts, the iberian lynx has recovered part of its territory

Hides for Photography
We have shelters open, with no glass spy, located about 10 meters away from the bobcats. The conference was divided into two sessions of about 5 hours, with artificial lighting for the first and last time

Wildlife observation
The photograph of the iberian lynx in its natural habitat is a unique experience. The environment of the hide is run by a family group in which we can observe adults, young adults and puppies

The Sierra de Andújar has the privilege of being the great stronghold of the iberian lynx, a species endemic to the iberian peninsula, which, due mainly to the destruction of habitat and the reduction of the populations of rabbit, it was on the brink of extinction by the beginning of the century, and, until recently, has held the dubious title of being the most endangered feline in the world. Luckily the situation was being operated on in time, and after great efforts ranging from the captive-breeding and reintroduction of the species to the reinforcement of populations of rabbit, lynx back to regain the territories which belong to him.
The day is divided in two sessions of about 5 hours, adjusting the schedule to each season of the year. With artificial lighting for the times when you lower the natural light.
The hides, providing a very good guarantee of success, are open without glass spy, and the distances to the animals can go from 5 to 40 meters, being the most usual distances of about 10 meters. Smoking is strictly prohibited and make noise in the interior of the hide, as well as out of the same. If a problem arises you will be notified to the guide.

Technical data sheet
Maximum group: 8 people
- Rates per person and day: 180 €

***To be treated of wildlife ensures the presence of the animals in front of the hiding places, although the success rate is about 80%. In the event of failure will be given the possibility to repeat at a price lower.

We were so impressed with the service provided by Naturoots on our trip to Andujar to view the Iberian Lynx in early November . Daniel and Miguel made our tailor made viewing so personalised and enjoyable we cannot recommend them enough. Everything we wanted to see was made fulfilled due to the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide Miguel. He did everything to make this trip one of the best wildlife viewing trips to Spain we have ever done, in fact we have travelled throughout the world in many countries, and have rated this experience among the best .![]()

We recently did a 4x4 tour on the public part of the Sierra de Andújar with our guide Miguel Angel. The tour was conducted in English and explanations were great: entertaining and accurate. He covered of course the wildlife of the area, but also it's geology, exploitation and history. We genuinely enjoyed the tour and getting to know the Sierra. We spotted many animal species, some of which are unique to Spain, and others which are endangered (in Spanish): rabilargo, pinzón, buitre negro, buitre leonado, águila imperial, cernícalo común, mochuelo, avión roquero, búho real (canto), cormorán, lagarto ocelado, ciervo, gamo, Ibex ibérico, cabra montés, conejo. In summary, very much recommended for those who want to get to know the Sierra!![]()

Incredible!! Miguel was an amazing guide through the varied habitat of the Sierra Andujar. He was extremely knowledgeable due to his vast experience working in conservation, and can spot animals keenly. We saw deer, moufflon, a variety of birds, and a family of lynxes. An absolutely amazing experience that I will surely repeat. If you’re a wildlife photographer visiting Spain, this tour is a must. Thanks again, Miguel.![]()

We did the full day trip and Miguel was our guide. He was excellent. As a biologist I was impressed by his knowledge about the ecology and conservation management of not only the lynx but also of the other animals and plants that inhabit this beautiful Mediterranean forest. He is a keen observer and spotted a lot of wildlife and showed us some interesting plants. He is also a very nice and entertaining person. We highly recommend Miguel and Natureroots!![]()
